Possibly a song Jim just made up on the spot onstage during one of The Doors concerts. It became part of the Alabama Song/Backdoor Man/5-1 medley usually sung just before 5-1.
It was recorded during the 1970 tour and appeared on Absolutely Live.
Another version of it's origin is it supposedly was a poem written for Patricia Kennealy but considering Jim's reaction to her that has been confirmed by several of his closest friends I would take that with a very large pinch of salt.
