Want you to rock me Rock me all night long Rock me baby Rock me all night long Want you to rock me 'Till I sing my song
See the sun goin' down Moon begin to rise See the sun goin' down Moon begin to rise Want you to rock me 'Till I'm satisfied Let's rock awhile
Sun goin' down Little moon begin to rise Sun goin' down Little moon begin to rise Want you to rock me, little darlin' 'Till I'm satisfied Let's rock awhile
See me comin', mama Bring out that old rockin' chair See me comin', mama Bring out your rocking chair No one's watching us And god knows, no one cares One more time
Want you to rock me, baby Rock me all night long Rock me baby Rock me all night long You gotta rock me, little woman Rock me all night long

Jim loved Muddy Waters and Ray had an album of Muddy doing Rock Me. We would take acid and listen to that album and John Lee Hooker too' Robby Krieger

The release of LAW 40 year has stated that Jim FIRST sang "Mr. Mojo Rising" during Rock Me which makes this cover important to the LAW story. The cover version that appears on disc 2 of the 40 year LAW now becomes even more interesting for this amazing piece of Doors History as we can now hear this for ourselves. We know they had a blackboard in the workshop as we can see it in the photos of the session so the famous tale of Jim writing it on a blackboard and ticking off the letters of his name likely happened after Rock Me and NOT LA Woman. I have never attached that much importance to this anagram unlike Mr DiCillo and the band themselves but it's a fascinating bit of trivia nontheless
