Once I had a little game I liked to crawl back in my brain I think you know the game I mean I mean the game called 'go insane' Now you should try this little game Just close your eyes forget your name Forget the world, forget the people And we'll erect a different steeple.
This little game is fun to do. Just close your eyes, i'm going too. And I'm right here, no way to lose Release control, we're breaking through

listen to The Doors 'Go Insane' demo versionCan be considered as a stand alone track as it was part of the original 1965 demo. A weird plinking piano coupled with an even weirder vocal from someone sounding nothing like the Jim Morrison we know. The Densmore/Patty Sullivan drum/bass combo works quite well but again the Manczarek brothers contribution is minimal. Possibly another poem that inspired Break On Through, Insane ended up as part of the COTL poem/song which give an indication of how that was in Morrison's mind even before he started The Doors. Insane written in Ray Manzarek's own hand. More info in calendar entry. The Doors Record At World Pacific Los Angeles CA
