In my research I've come across a few photos that indicate that it is Jim & Pam. One of the most frequent photo mistakes is Vogue Magazine where Jim is shown with Donna Mitchell. newdoorstalk.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=calendarview&thread=408I have to say the photo that Kristy pointed out shows a resemblance to Pamela.

I looked at a few of the known pictures of Pam in profile and then back at the go-go dancer and do see a slight difference, so I can't be sure it's her. I guess the only way to really find out is to track down the providence of the picture. There are a few pictures of Pam as a model still floating around ready to be discovered. Darkstar, I don't have all my Morrison books handy for reference but I believe that Ray said Mary Werbelow was Miss Gazzarri's at one point (it opened 1965) and later became a belly dancer. In the 2005 interview with Mary, she said she broke up with him because she needed to find herself, her own identity. www.sptimes.com/2005/09/25/Doors/Mary_and_Jim_to_the_e.shtml

Jim wrote The End about Mary Werbelow. Ray on his awful films special features takes you to the exact spot under Venice Pier where Jim first sang The Doors The End. It was a goodbye to Mary. It expanded a bit after that ##awful filmLove Her Madly...has to be seen to be believed

I will make a point to pop it in my dvd player. I'm not promising I will get through the entire dvd but I will put it in my dvd player and press play. What a great website on Venice Beach! Thanks! I can remember that the circular wooden pagoda/seating thingys were still there in the early 90s but sadly were removed the last time I checked.

It now seems that a tape of The Doors recorded at The London Fog in 1966 has appeared, The Doors have one reel and a second one is who knows where. Of course it would be a fantastic piece of History if it were released. Sadly as with The Matrix release The Doors management tell a lot of lies and are proven incompetents so we will have to wait and see.

With the discovery of a London Fog audio tape due for release next year as well as a collection of photos taken from the gig we should complete our view of The Doors career with a decent start and finish point. London Fog 66 - Dallas 70. Taken/recorded by someone who was a friend of Ray which would point to Judy Raphael who spoke of the first time the band played the Fog. Judy was a UCLA student and friend of Ray and Dorothy. Possibly come to light as Judy died a year or so ago. It will be fascinating to see and hear The Doors playing the Fog as it's been talked about for so long with many dismissing any chance of ever hearing such an animal. Set list is vague at the moment but Strange Days and Little Richard's Lucille have been mentioned. With all the useless crap being touted for the lame 40 years of LA Woman non-anniversary it will be a rare piece of light in The Doors duplicity to milk it's back catalogue. One I may actually pay for as I am a sucker for something really worthwhile coming from this bunch of bandits

I believe London Fog tapes must be really interesting. I like the concerts more than alternative versions of songs recorded in the studio. After the whole mess with the release of the 3 CDs L. A. Woman 40 anniversary, I hope they don’t decide to postpone it indefinitely, as it is happening with The Matrix tapes that they are promising for three years that they will be released but it seems they will not ever happen.

The trouble with The Doors is they have a liar for a manager. The Matrix became a farce because he lied about what he had and opened his mouth before he realised that. The Fog tape will likely be the most valuable thing these bozos have left so they need to do this right this time. No shouting about it until they know what they have and what they can do with it. Jampol likes to suck up to Doors fans and have his ass kissed that was why he made such a mess of Matrix. His lies to a bunch of people who knew what they were talking about when HE didn't backfired on him and exposed him as the liar he is. He is letting info out in dribs and drabs about The Fog. Probably has not even heard it all yet and is just going on what he has been told. He has a lot of jobs as well as The Doors and this makes him unable to keep a finger on the pulse of The Doors affairs and why the idiot gets in such a mess. I would imagine that The Fog is the last chance for these idiots to impress their fanbase. They need to get it out and get it out soon. And also do a good job instead of the half assed job they usually do. I would think pretty much 100% of The Doors fanbase want this and I am even thinking of buying a copy myself The current LAW farce with this giant idiot liar making an absolute balls up of the much vaunted (by HIM) LAW 'year of The Doors release' does not bode well. It's a tainted release now as after a year of bragging about it Jampol has now been reduced to dumping the blame on someone else. Yet it was HE who spouted off about the release and HE who has been made to look a complete arce by HIS own actions. Hopefully The Fog tape will see a lot less level of lies from this imbecile and they will do a good job with tape and photos.

I really hope they do right by themselves, and the Fog tape and put the care and time into what such a release deserves. I have heard no bootlegs of the Matrix tapes, but I don't think I need to! The current 2 CD put our by DMC/Rhino in 2008 sounds like utter dogshit. Been listening to it lately as The Strange Doors are playing the whole of the first album at gigs next year (2012) and we may cop some shit from it. Fascinating historical listen, but REALLY could have sounded much better. Doubly frustrating when the whole camp LIED about their sources. I have seen the actual CD and read the notes where Botnick states the master tapes were used. EVERYONE was in on the "gag," that time 'round!

Botnick does not say MASTER tape mate. He says 1st Gen tape. Rothchild was sent a poor quality (deliberately so as the taper did not trust The Doors) 1st gen tape of the gig. This tape leaked out and became The Matrix Tapes bootleg. It's a decent bootleg but the Hoffman Forum had clips from the master tape and they are superb sound quality. Of course the band use words like 'pristine' on the sleeve which is a joke as it's just the same quality as the bootleg. Botnick is culpable as he spouts some techno crap about what HE did to improve the sound. And some of the tracks do indeed sound better but NOT all of them. The Doors - Live At The Matrix 1967 inc scans of cover. The problems arose as Jampol tried to say that the masters were being used. It was HIS lies and ignorance that got the band in a mess. He also claimed that the Doors release was remastered by Botnick. But this was another lie as some of The Doors release is EXACTLY the same as the boot. I have both and have played them side by side. Jampol is the problem as he tries to ingratiate himself with fans with his big sounding plans which are just bullshit. He lies and lies until he is in such a mess then tries to wheedle his way out of it with lies and blaming someone else. The shoe, piss plaque, Vegas, live tracks and out takes downloads, his BMR bullshit. The list is long and exposes this guy as a total liar. He met his match over the Matrix as the taper guys he was trying to sound clever to knew what THEY were talking about and made him look a total lying dickhead. He never recovered from that and threatened to close BMR if they did not stop calling him a liar It was an amusing episode to view on one hand and extremely sad on the other at what The Doors had become. The Matrix was the most shameful release The Doors have ever been involved in and that says a lot considering some of the crap they have milked fans with. For me they are nothing but a bunch of greedy spivs

Very interesting. You Make Me Real is my least fave Doors song but will be interesting to hear a 1966 version. Feel It is another interesting song. A Doors original. Jim sings all songs but Hoochie Coochie Man and Ray does some harmony vocals. "Baby, Please Don't Go" had Gloria as it's B Side so obviously they were big Them fans. I think every Doors fan on the planet wants to hear Strange Days from 1966. I do hope they get the other reel (or reels) as well because it's obviously a pretty short set list. Probably ONE set from the Fog. But if that's all there is so be it and I for one won't piss and moan about that.
