Its still a nice sounding song though. The worst Doors line for me would probably come off of Full Circle

well i like tell all the people...granted its got some dodgy lines. i expect the worst line may well be from full circle, perhaps from mosquito! although i love that song! the funny thing is about the soft parade, its the only doors album my missis really likes (she aint into the doors, and i bored her shitless with constant playing and singing in the car ). she says it doesnt sound as doorsy as the others, and thats why! she appreciates the doors for experimenting with different styles on this album. i like the album myself, but consider it my least fave of all albums with jim. and as most doors fans probably say the same thing, to a non doors fan the catchy crounty sounds of songs like running blues may sound great!

I think of Mosquito as an instrumental that just happens to have a few lyrics as a hook. Thats all the words are.. a recurring hook.
Here's some Jim stinkers in my opinion:
I see the bathroom is clear I think that somebody's near I'm sure that someone is following me, oh yeah
(only good because of the story behind it)
There's a killer on the road His brain is squirmin' like a toad
Do toads squirm? hmmmm
Pretty much most of Maggie M'Gill sounds made up on the spot.
Thing is I dont let that stop me from enjoying the songs. I think I'm the only person left who enjoys music. He could be singing about his bowel movements and I'd still dig the music.

If they released a version of Riders On the Storm with Jim accompanying himself by farting through a comb I would enjoy it. I have NEVER heard a Doors track I did not enjoy.....true some of them annoy me such as You make Me real and It Slipped My Mind but that does not mean to say I have never enjoyed listening to the track for some reason or another. The Doors are the only band I have ever listened to that i can say that about.

I always liked the bathroom is clear line... bit of absurdity... as if you can tell he's aware of how the line may come off and not taking himself seriously at all, just putting it out there.
We're gonna go out in a car and get fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked up is a line I don't like. I'd say the fuck her in the ass thing but he was able to scream that in a way that sounded cool. Just didn't make much of a rap!

aawww dude, the get into this car with these people...and get fuuuuucked up line is superb!! honeslty i wonedr what you think some times dude! just on a completely unrelated note, i got the doors are open dvd of erresie in paris. its the portugese version and has sbtitles for the songs. some of the lyrics they put in are so funny and couldnt be more different than the original line if you asked a syphillitic eskimo to translate them an example: instead of ....i let my cheek slide down the smooth cool tile...its "i touched the smooth cool child" i slid down the smooth cool child... fuckin hilarious. other mitranslated lyrics include dragons.....

"Please please listen to the children. You are the ones who will rule the world."
A two liner song. Always hated that song for lack of lyrics.

I love every single track on all the morrison era albums , the only little problem I have is with the line. "One is to love your neighbor 'till His wife gets home"

From a woman's perspective. She is making love to her neighbor and his wife comes home. Hey, Jim sang "I am the woman in the window".
