Did you notice the date of Jim's will? February 12, 1969...Ray Manzarek's birthday. That is scary....imagine what a decent conspiracy theorist could make of THAT!

Well that is certainly the story that has been put about this last 37 years. Can't say I am any great Pam supporter myself but it has to be said that this tale has a little fly in the ointment. If all Pam cared about was Jim's cash then why did she prevent The Doors selling Light My Fire to Tiparillo for a cigar advert? Like everything regarding The Doors after 1971 there is another side that does not get peddled by them in interviews and books. True Pam was a junkie and junkies do not do well with lots of money. She bought a fur coat apparently and a car but she also was all that stood between commercialism and Jim Morrison's work. It has to be noted that she stopped some of The Doors work being used for adverts. She could not stop the ROTS tyre advert that aired in the UK and complained to Danny Sugerman that The Doors were going over her head and she had Jim's veto. She did stop their most famous song being an advert. For all her many faults she deserves credit for that.
