The AdmiralA satirical drawing of his father the admiral by Jim Morrison age 13.
Mrs Powers
A drawing of Jim's teacher Mrs Powers. He gave her a child to help make her appear kinder.
The Mummy
Mad Magazine-inspired sketch drawn at 14 -year-old Lizard King. Morrison was a big fan of Mad magazine and mentions Alfred E Nueman a Mad contributor.
These drawings from around 1957 are a small group of Morrison’s drawing saved by his childhood friend Girard “Fud” Ford. Ford and Morrison met when the Morrison family moved to Alameda, California and attended Alameda High School in California school together. The two boys spent many hours drawing together in an attic room at the Morrison house at 1717 Alameda Avenue.

I've blown up the pages below so they may be easier for you to read.
This is a brilliant idea from the excellent Doors Collectors magazine in 1999. Bring in a psychiatrist, give him a brief background to the unknown subject and ask him to analyse some drawings. This was the first time anyone psycho analysed Jim Morrison's chaotic mind as a kid.
The results are interesting. Of course it depends if they introduced themselves as the DCM which would have given the shrink a hefty clue to who it was. I can't see them doing that myself as it would have spoilt what was a bloody good idea. Looking at this stuff my conclusion would be this kid was fucking bonkers and probably rather dangerous to hang out with. But see below for what the professional thought.
