Near the end of JD's book it explains how jim was interviewed by the BBC after a night of booze binging. he said "Or music is like someone not quite at home, not quite relaxed. Aware of a lot of things, but not quite sure". this got me thinking though. this is exactly how i have felt most of my life, never quite a home, always unsettled as if being called to something. I have spoken to quite a few doors fans about the same thing. and a lot have said this is the way they have felt once. i guess perhaps all of us have in some way or another. But perhaps thats why we love the doors music so much and it s what we have in common that sort of connects us. Now i have made my way a bit more in life, this feeling isnt quite as strong...i will have a real career and a future for myself. but the feelings is still there... Thats also probably why we are attracted to jim's persona so much, the mystery behind him and what he was and his philosophy. its not that i have something missing in my live, cos i dont..its more like i am searching still. i think thats what the doors and inparticular jim was all about in a way. what are your thoughts? if any on this
