May 3rd 1972: Beat Club Bremen, West Germany The Beat Club was the name of the television show that featured prominent musicians. It was recorded live at the Radio Bremen TV studio. The Doors do a good set although it may have lacked the immediate vitality that a live audience could have provided. The band is in high spirits and has a good natured laugh at themselves when they 'blow' the intro to 'Ships w/Sails' and have to start again. video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5500226727554975041#I recently managed to get hold of Good Rockin' from Beat Club which is not part of the broadcast and it's quite awesome. Ray does his Screaming ray Daniels best and nails the song totally. The guy does a great job as lead vocalist on Beat Club and never got the credit he deserved during his Doors days for the vocal contribution he made in support of Jim and the rare moments he took centre stage.
