I imagine he would have applauded it for being brave enough to tackle a subject that contradicts the insane view the religious right have on the world.......homosexuality has been around as long as people and the shameful attacks Olly stone received for telling the truth about one of Histories greatest generals show what a fucked up bunch the poweres that be are in the US...............being gay is not something that is a threat to western civilisation but seems to be seen by these loonies as a threat to westerns......one of my best mates was gay and never came out until a few years back..... even though we all knew it anyway.....he was not comfortable with telling his friends but his friends knew anyway and he was still our friend....cunts come in all shape and sizes and follow all proffesions and attacking groups ofpeople just because they do not follow the norm as preached by some bunch of religious nuts is crazy..... if Morrison had indeed turned out to be gay would that have made him a worse singer/ or worse poet? or would that have detracted from his integrity and the way he defended his art? Only in the eyes of idiots........its a pity Jim did not live to see a film like Brokeback Mountian as considering the joke that Hollywood has always been I think it would have made him smile to see it!

He probably woould have said "what you think those cowboys were doing?" I think if Jim had gone into movies he would have made movies more like Vanilla Sky or The Matrix movies that dealt with the nature of reality, a Doors song on The Matrix soundtrack would have been cool especially when Neo "Wakes Up!" That is also how Vanilla Sky starts, wake up.

I posed a simple question about a movie that has been a bit controversial and asked it hypothetically. Now, don't slam me cause I posed the question, please. Be gentleman...... Tristan & Isolde.....Tristan resembled Morrison, though, I thought, to change the subject. ptlwp

i comment about what jim would have thought about the movie really cos i aint seen it. but if its a good work of art and tells a good story, worth telling about a taboo subject that gets in peoples faces...i cant see jim being opposed to it.

Jim Morrison had Howard Stern watch it for him. Howard liked it, Howard is fascinated by it. Howard loves talking about top and bottom in that regard. He considers the Jake character the woman.

Ooo, I think Jim would have liked the Matrix! Anything that questions who we are and what we are and pushing the bounds..... I agree Gemma, Donny Darko is another one.....I'm sure I STILL don't get everything that I'm supposed to from that, but I think Jim would....
