We could be so good together
Ya, so good together
We could be so good together
Ya, we could, I know we could
Tell you lies
I tell you wicked lies
Tell you lies
Tell you wicked lies
Tell you 'bout the world that we'll invent
Wanton world without lament
Enterprise, expedition
Invitation and invention
Ya, so good together
Ah, so good together
We could be so good together
Ya, we could, know we could
Alright!
Do da do do do do do bup bup de day
We could be so good together
Ya, so good together
We could be so good together
Ya, we could, know we could
Tell you lies
Tell you wicked lies
Tell you lies
Tell you wicked lies
The time you wait subtracts the joy
Beheads the angels you destroy
Angels fight, angels cry
Angels dance and angels die
Ya, so good together
Ah, but so good together
We could be so good together
Ya, we could, know we could
From the UCLA Trio days Ray was into Thelonious Monk and some of his keyboards on this song come from the jazz icons Straight, No Chaser.
It was released as the B-side of the single The Unknown Soldier and was likely recorded during the sessions for Strange Days.
It's appearance on WFTS more likely a desire to fill the album out once COTL was deemed unfit for purpose.
Another enigmatic, though at first glance, simple song from Jim Morrison. Is it a follow up to the theme of Break On Through 'we' being the Doors and their audience?
Or simply just a little Boy/Girl love story.
As with most Morrison lyrics things are not always as they seem initially but oddly enough sometimes they are.
Good song all the same with excellent musical accompaniment from the band especially Krieger and his fuzzy guitar tracks..
