In the eye of the sun before the world had begun
Takin' it easy, I was havin' some fun
Loafin' and a jokin' it was all energy
No such thing as you and or me
No time, you are mine
In the eye of the sun before the world had begun
It had been a lot of work the last time around
Needed a rest, a chance to just lie down
Always on the go, no time to kill
A lot of runnin' to and fro hard working at the mill
So it blew up and I threw up
Into the eye of the sun before the world had begun
Well I hung around, I don't know how many years
No more troubles, no more fears
Had a lot of rest with a nothing to do
But I got kinda bored with nothin' to do
I wanted flesh and blood, skin and bones
Multidimensional, universal home
I want space and time up and down
Live and dead, blood all around
I knew there'd be trouble, but I could pull through
So I thought of the world and you did too.

A good example of how diverse the three man Doors were in 1971. This diversity would eventually lead to their downfall as members pulled in different directions trying to lead the band toward one possible future or another.
Here we see a forerunner of Ray's Golden Scarab period which would emerge in 1974.
A great but utterly crazy Ray Manzarek song full of mystical imagery basically concerning the Creation Myth.
Epic keyboards from the master himself and great backing from the rest. A wonderful little Doors song that got lost in the sands of time because Jim Morrison was not there to sing it.
Shame really as Ray did have a lot of vocal talents which can be seen on albums such as Golden Scarab, Nite City, his 4-man Doors days and yes the two Doors post-Jim albums.
