I have two clips from Miami. A ten minute one which includes interviews with morons who attack The Doors and an brief comment from Jim courtesy of the Louis Wolfson II Media History Center. The other is three minutes from from the same source, silent and in colour. Showing comings and going to the courtroom by Jim and the other three Doors. I think its fascinating to see this and its a pity there is not more. For me someone in the Doors sphere should do a complete history of the Miami Trial and Concert including Jims notes (if they still exist), all the available photos and news items as well as the recollections of those who were involved. It would be a fascinating read not just for Doors fans of a period when one man (regardless of how drunk or stoned) stood up and said 'enough of this' and made a stand for artists that had repercussions that echo even today. Morrison was a true artist who lived and breathed his art and what he did made it a little easier for those that followed to peform thier art. Jim did not cow-tow to record companies, arena managers or television producers. He had the balls to stand up for what he believed in which is a rare thing in this modern age especially in a world where its easier to take the cash and live in Bel Air than rock the 'gravy' boat. Its a lesson some of his pals never learned.....he might of sometimes been a drunken pain in the arce but he was a drunken pain in the arce with 'integrity' and decades after his death even though he is remembered more as a cock flashing drunk than an artist he lies in his grave with artistic integrity intact.
