A lot more important article than it seems at first glance. For a rather inconsequential article it inadvertently gives a rare glimpse into Jim Morrison the Poet that we don't normally see in mainstream Morrison lore. "What happened with the New Haven bust? Oh!....Everyone was ...aquitted. Did you appear at the trial? No! What does that mean?....I mean..... How does that affect.. It means I can't ever go back to New Haven! Morrison at least kept his sense of humour in the face of adversity. One of his better traits

He must have been working on what would become The New Creatures which was the follow up to The Lords: Notes On Vision which was his observations on cinema from his UCLA and rooftop days.
Fall down. Strange gods Their shirts cloth and hair
All along ornaments bluer than welcome. Soft lizard
would become.....
From The New Creatures Fall down. Strange gods arrive in fast enemy poses. Their shirts are soft marrying cloth and hair together. All along their arms ornaments conceal veins bluer than blood pretending welcome. Soft lizard eyes connect. Their soft drained insect cries erect new fear, where fears reign. The rustling of sex against their skin. The wind withdraws all sound. Stamp your witness on the punished ground.

As far as Morrison the poet goes this is possibly one of the few really important articles of the 60s. Not for the teenybopper magazine it was printed in but for the unique little glimpse of Morrison at work being a poet.
It is a small window in time as how he worked to put together what would become the New Creatures. A rather ramshackle view true but he had been involved in trying to make his COTL poem work as an album at that time and after that failed he was trying to get poetry on the new album which probably explains the papers he was carrying.
