I stuck this piece of drivel here as it's not really worthy of appearing in any serious sections of the forum. The usual crap from the usual idiot Screaming Ray Dollar Bill.
But as its from February 2003 it gives a flavour of the lies Ray told when he stole The Doors name and set off trying to milk it for millions.
Ray did not like the Doors fans who said he was a tribute to himself. (I was one of them) Nor did he like the fact the drummer was telling him he could not do this.
He was Ray Manzarek the man who formed The Doors and played the intro to LMF so he could do anything he wanted.
The law disagreed and a Jury and a Judge condemned him as a liar and a thief. Although the story Ray tells is different and he never let facts get in the way of making a buck.
6 years after all this nonsense began the Supreme Court threw out Ray's final appeal and he was left with a multi million dollar debt for his actions and exposed as the liar and thief that he was.
Now reduced to going cap in hand to the same singer he dismissed as a Jimitator when he was telling everyone his band was the new Doors, he has reverted to using his own name but still milking The Doors for all he's worth.
Dreams of a new Doors album and the money it would bring in now utterly shattered, he is back to preaching the gospel of Jim Morrison who he had dismissed as dead and gone when he was selling ian astbury as the new shaman.
Ian woke up and realised he was being used and now Ray sings for his supper with a Jimitator and a bunch of losers stuck in a 60s time warp.
The same time warp he accused John Densmore and fans such as myself of living in.
We of course were not living in a time warp but the blindingly obvious fact of the matter was that Ray indeed was still stuck in his Doors hayday as nothing he did without Morrison was of interest to anybody, let alone Doors fans.
Of course Doors fans are still split with those who bury their heads and don't want to see their hero is in fact a liar, hypocrite and manipulative moneygrubbing bum constantly on the make.
They still remember jovial Ray not the backstabbing liar who sold out Jim Morrison both in life and in death.
Many of the facts that prove Manzarek to be that lying hypocrite are to be found here on the pages of this forum.
Whether Doors fans read them is up to them.
Maybe they too are stuck in the time warp when Ray was someone to look up to rather than a worthless bum.
Sadly many of us saw though our hero and now know him for what he is. And frankly for what he always was.
