As a fan of this site, anyone who has LA doors spots ?? I'd be happy to help you out. At one time I allmost did a Doors tour of LA lots of great spots off the regular Doors Radar.

Thing about the EXACT location of that famous meet is that Ray has done that a couple of times on video and probably chosen different spots as it's a big beach and the idea Ray could remember 30/40 years later is not sustainable really. Ray says anything as he simply likes the attention.
Having said that he does a tour of LA on the special features of his lousy movie LHM and takes us to the pier where they first heard Jim sing what was to become The End, the house Jim lived in with Ray and Dot as well as a couple more Venice Beach spots. And it was very very interesting. Such is the enigma of Raymond Daniel Manczarek. Both a worthless lying shit on one hand and a very interesting aural storyteller and genius musician on the other.
LA is a very interesting place Doors wise. Do you have any idea where Betty's Music Shop was?

No Bettys but the turkey joint is where they first james is a pub now in santa monica and Olivias (soul Kitchen) ray said to me the name of the street in santa monica where he saw jim on the beach.
