well as for the t.i.m, it was what I said my pilgrimage to paris was for, besides just visting Jim. For it gave it much more clout to say I was going to read my words at a poetry reading....in the streets of Paris. And I have to say it was euphoric for me(gizmos green thumb may have enhanced that too) I loved listening to all whom participated. And when I read, It was the pentacle of my exsistance, my value was cemented, and now I'm never going to underestimate myself again. Thank You All for having me, I will never be the same. Only greatness awaits me, and you all are an inspriation to me!!
everyone was great but some of the highest points for me Nick, man I love how u work it...only next time 'let them hear u n the back' cause ur words are brilliant Ian, what fantasic presentor, that was when the eurphoria set in, so full of zest and flair....wonderful! Mark, man when u read I can't help but listen ur voice is sooooo eigmatic, and u read with heart...enjoyed very much and Mark with Hermine, I love a poem in deut, those were really good. Miss Mojo, ur love shown thou, your words very special, important, mad respect woman then the baddest cowboy, always having us jumping thru hoops and doing backflips before we get what we desire of him, everytime its worth it n the end!!
all were great...
And I think now here is a good place to say, that as a young doors fan, a Jim fan, a seeker of his truth...Alex you are one I would love as a teacher, a prize pupil to ur professorship I would be, hanging on every word...could listen to u talk for hours & days Admire ur mind, and your freedom of thoughts, feelings, words. Still hanging on every word. Much Mad Respect for U, I have!!!! thank u for allowing me a place here
;D

my thoughts. well. if someone hadn't passed me a joint i prolly wouldn't have been so shy and stopped for a bit at first but it's luvly that everyone is able to get into it so well.... discussing making it a world wide ongoing thing. kinda gives me a bit of faith in art as a movement and acceptance of all things. all the people i met are great even if i get a bit too far out myself. i'm gonna stay here and bit and i've emailed some links just to random people to tell them about it and try to spread the world about it here in paris. put it like it's a very loose thing... not just hero worship but something meaningful and ongoing. rambling a bit so i'll slip out of this net cafe but i hope everyone is well. it was good to meet you Nick....i mean when you came down of the crack and started talking, it was good to have a conversation with you...your actually a really nice fella. and your poetry was superb....

i thought everyone that read at TIM was ace. the real reason i didnt read anything was because i actually felt a little intimidated by everyone elses poetry, ie i didnt think mine was good enough to read aloud. but fair play to everyone that read, jim would be proud!!! ;D

I would just like to say that it was indeed a privilidge to be part of this wonderful tribute to Jim Morrison.....Nicked summed it up well here....something meaningful not full of bullshit like the Doors will be doing as they milk the meal ticket for 2006 and 2007........not a T Shirt sold Jeff .....TIM would be no good to you dude!! A bunch of folks who it mattered enough too for them to put nervousness aside and stand by a wall and just speak to a bunch of new and old strangers because they care enough to pay tribute to someone who touched thier lives...... I usually winge when someone puts words into Jim's mouth but I think he would have certainly been proud of the few dozen who braved the heat and read and listened...... I enjoyed all the readings and everyone who read did bloody marvellous but will pick out a few ....Nick did wonderful and I thank him for the greatest idea I have ever come across in The Doors world.......Stuart did an amazing job once again and I think we should all be grateful for his efforts.....Iain was excellent once again as was newcomer Maggie (thanks for the kind words too m'dear) and it was cool to see my bro' Mark reading there too.... All should be proud to have been there on a great day and a moving poignant tribute to a wonderful bloke. Thanks to all who read and watched.....lets hope we see all there next summer and spread the word that Jim Morrison was done proud by Doors fans on Monday.... RIP Jim rest easy bro' and cheers for it all mate!

I really enjoyed the reading, it was great fun, serious and funny at the same time. I like the concept of being it a kinda loose event with people sitting on the street with a beer or funny cigarettes, with spontaneous participants etc.
Ian might have been the best reader, but the best poetry, as I think everybody agreed afterwards, came from Nick.
so, here's to you, Nick, cheers!

Yeah thats true Meat as we don't wanna see it become too serious.....it's like you say a bit of fun with serious overtones......we will get opportunities here to chat about the future of TIM as I know both Nick and Stuart wanna see it prosper...... we will get a few threads going shortly here on Doors Talk and see what ideas and feelings peeps have for the next level of TIM. Yeah gotta agree that Nick chucked out some really cool stuff during his stint and i would love tos ee more people doing readings that way but I think the best poetry came from the dead bloke in the cemetery..... I can't wait to see the DVD and will keep folks posted as to when we can get it online for download.......

One of the things that impressed me was how many of you guys read .........even if it was just some lyrics......I found it a bit nerve wracking in 2005 but had not a scrap this time round......I enjoyed the hell out of both the reading bit and just sitting watching you guys read.......the TIm was well supported by the folks in the road as well....damn good crowd which was nice to see..... If you did a bit of reading lets hear how you felt about it and if all you did was watch the reading lets hear what you felt about that............... TIM is a wonderful way forward to commemorate Jim Morrison in July & December but it must come from the fans.....never can The Doors be allowed to become involved other than as guests of the fans....this is ours......it came from us and is of us....and we should all protect it because like so much in The Doors world once its gone.....its gone..... Nick Jackson has given Doors fans a gift that they should nurture with tender care........so instead of just sitting on your arce dear reader if you were there share your thoughts.....share your ideas in the discussions on the future of TIM we will have here pretty soon.........spread the word among what little there is left of The Doors internet community......because apathy will result in one thing and one thing only.............one day you will turn up in Paris on July 3rd and you be on your fucking own........ Apathy has already killed off most of The Doors on the Internet........so remember that next time you go to a Doors forum or site.........it takes nothing to share a thought or sign a guestbook.............support The Doors world as all we have is ourselves and each other... TIM can die as easily as it was born...........this wonderfully uplifting moment in time shared by a feast of friends can easily become nothing............ Its a sobering thought how fragile something like this really is...............tell your friends share your thoughts here and anywhere else you can find to Talk Doors......otherwise one day there will be nothing left............. Some Rick pix.....Some of Matthias pix

So what did you folks think of this unique tribute to Jim Morrison.......if you read lets hear something from you....if you watched lets hear what you thought.... did you enjoy the day, how did it feel to read, are you tempted to give it a go next year, do you think TIM is worthwhile or just a self induldgent pile of poop from a bunch of Jim groupies? ? .....anymore photos of the event from any of you guys.......... About 20 or more people read something....many are captured on Imeldas video so lets hear from you folks..... ;D

I was surprised that I was even more nervous than last time, thought it would be a piece of cake this time, but I was very wrong... It was great though that many more read their own works this time, I think this is what Jim wants most in the first place. It was very brave of Marielle to read her poems to Marcel and also it was very brave of Sam to do the best he could even though he did not know English so well. Nick was the best poet, I really liked his poems and how he read it in rap style. Ian could make his own tribute, I bet he would still go on reciting Jim long after dark when everyone has gone home! It went better than I thought to have the reading outside La Ren, I thought it would be too noisy and too difficult to concentrate, but it went rather well.

Yeah thats true Monica....the noise did not spoil it at all and that comes through on Imeldas video...... It was not important what language the poetry was in ....the lad from Portugal read in his own language and did great...... There was more to it than being able to understand the words..... I think everyone did really well and I don't think nerves were a major factor as people did encourage and support each other..... I bloody loved it myself.....I was nervous last July in Shakespeares but was totally cool and up for it this time......... I favour the same location next summer but maybe the main gate would be a good spot to get away from the traffic.............
Yeah I enjoyed Nicks style and there was another guy who read who did a similar reading to Nick who was good....American guy I think with long greying hair....seen him before but don't know his name...he is on the vid...... as I said my fave was Mark who was really pretty damn good.....but everyone who got up did a marvellous job....
