Here are a few pix from July 3rd. I will upload some more next week as I am still pretty knackered from it I got there around 9 am and stayed until the grave robbers turned up and went and had a beer. I came back on the afternoon to place the T Shirt we signed there. A lot of people there from early on but sadly some silly fans were hogging the fence and made it difficult to get near the grave. The TIM was a joke as nobody was interested but the day itself was great. Doors Alive played a really good show. I have no idea what the grave robbers show was like end even less interest. I have not looked at any video of those two idiots at Jim's grave and I never will. Imelda and her flag 9 am Here is your card to Jim, Elisa. I could not get near during the morning but managed to grab a spot to get some pictures on the 2nd trip up on the afternoon. I gave the card to one of the hoggers near the fence and they put it on the grave for me. I could not get any pictures of the grave other than long shots due to the fence huggers. I hung Michael White's poem on the fence as usual front and back. On my third and last trip up in the afternoon Kelly dropped the T Shirt on the grave. She had to throw it as we could not move the limpets near the fence. It landed on a candle Thankfully we never set fire to the grave which would have been appropriate I think.

This was the 40 year commemorative T Shirt I wore on the third. I chose to side with Jim's family who did not want the grave robbers near their family members grave. The Admiral tried to stop them legally taking a dump on his sons grave but Manzarek cares not one jot how he is viewed as long as he gets the cash. It's metaphoric. The toilet represents his sewer of a mind and the idea that shit goes in and shit then comes out. I had a lot of toilets to choose from and went for the dirtiest filthiest one in the folder. I think I chose well. It made a lot of people laugh so it served it's purpose and was £7.50 well spent.

Cheers, Elisa I am just sorry I could not get in a good position to take a proper photo but the bloody fence huggers were like limpets in the morning obviously waiting for the grave robbers to turn up. On the afternoon it was pretty much the same. It wasa shame that the security did not do what they did in 2003 and make people move after a a few minutes to let the rest get near the site.

Great photos, Alex of Paris. I can see how the people crowded around the fence and I noticed when I watching the videos posted on u-tube that the same people showed up again and again.
It reminded of a 'general admission' concert. You have to push and shove to get to the front of the stage.
The photos of Manzarek and Krieger prove that they still have access to Morrison's plot. I was hoping that the families request that they not be allowed near the place would have been honored as we read in the court documents. They had Ian Astbury with them on one visit and I see Dave Brock wasn't with them on this trip.
I would like to know more about the T.I.M. readings. How did it go? Did lots of people show up?
How many people showed up at La Ren and has La Ren received any threats from lawyers similar to the one served on the Lezard King Bar?
Sadly, I didn't see anyone in the videos protesting to Ray and Robby about the Cease and Desist Order. Over 250 people signed the on-line petition but there was no show of any resistance and if it was it wasn't mentioned by the press.
I love your t-shirt.

La Ren no longer has a Doors theme Sara so it's just a bar now. Not a very good one either but nice when full of Doors fans. Plenty turned up but the atmosphere did not seem as good as 5 years ago. I enjoyed myself as I was in the company of good friends but out of 10 times in a row going in July I would rate it 6 or 7 and it should have been #1. TIM was a joke. Jim read some stuff to about half a dozen people. Nobody was interested so I gave up trying. Won't bother doing that again Did not spoil my day one jot as it was always a bonus and I enjoyed talking to new folks and the beer and sunshine.

We could not get a seat on the Eurostar so were forced to stand in the bar for the whole journey We tried to get Mark to replace Jim but he fell off the tables he was standing on Mark & Michelle with Jim who had just popped in for the evening. Me insulting Ray Mark, Cruisey, Michelle and Susan (from Jim Morrison paris FB page) First night in Lezard Bar. A first day touristy shot before we went and found somewhere to drink.

I love your photos Alex! Thank you for sharing them.
Looks like ya' all had a great time. The one best part of these trips to Paris seems to be meeting up with other Doors fans.
Now ya'all have to come to L.A. and see the Doors sites before they change too much or disappear completely. The old "Riot" house hotel is no longer the same as they cut the balconies off of it. They should never have done that as it takes away from the history of the place.
