What was your first doors album? Mine was a compilation...the greatest hits, or best of....think it was the first. but it got me hooked anyway.

I sort of have a couple. My first first was "The Doors" that I found at a thrift store for a quarter... but I never listened to it really. Then my friend gave me "Alive She Cried" and I listened to that a little. And i totally forgot about em for several years and never had any serious love of them.
The first one i actually intentionally bought and listened to and enjoyed thoroughly was "Wierd Scenes Inside The Goldmine"

I could not afford albums when I was at school so just bought singles and got tapes from school mates or my brother in law who also lent me his LPs to listen too.....did not know any Doors fans so depended on what I could hear on the radio (which was not much) and from what I could find on tape via my B.I.L or get on singles.....Doors albums were not seen in the shops much round here until after Jim's death....... First actual Doors album I bought was LA Woman then Other Voices and Weird Scenes Inside The Goldmine all via Melody Maker mail order service.......it was 1972 before I had the complete Doors collection. Last one I got was Morrison Hotel.

'The Doors' was my final album and it felt like the cherry on the pie. I think I played it for weeks or maybe months several times a night.

yeh...i think i played it constantly too. its funny really i go through mad phases of playing shit loads of doors...then i simmer down and perhaps just put one doors cd in the cd changer in the car. but i will always have atleast 1 doors cd in there. in the car i currently have "the future aint what it used to be" from the box set...the one with live crystal ship on...superb. come out from behind that false mustach hitler, i know your in there!
