Success cannot be used as a measure of worthiness after all in 1967 LMF and The Doors debut album did not even chart here in the UK ..........and we were the 2nd biggest music market in the world at the time...........and during The Doors lifetime thier biggest single success here was a paltry #15 in 1968.

this is the actual BMR web site news item that appeared there in 2002........... The release of Vancouver, Bakersfield, and Pittsburgh on Bright Midnight Records has been postponed due to the plethora of unreleased outtakes and works in progress the band along with Bruce Botnick had discovered in the storage archive.
What was released as the cube in the year 2000, a collection of the six studio albums with all original album artwork restored and sound remastered, plus Essential Rarities, is getting a new make over as a long box. Essential Rarities is being deleted to make room for a disc of bonus material, including the long lost studio version of Celebration of the Lizard.
Each album will be represented with an out take from those particular sessions. Eventually, this disc, with even more never before released material, will be made available exclusively through Bright Midnight Records so those of you who bought cube won't have to purchase the long box to get the bonus tracks. Within six months of its commercial release, the Outtakes album will be made available.
Stay tuned for more details. An interesting and topical debate as we see now that a whole albums worth of out takes and studio chatter from LA Woman have suddenly been discovered.............. in the folds of Jeff Jampols fat ass perhaps? This shows how The Doors sneakily use this kind of material to shift the same six albums again and again. No out take album ever saw the light of day. The long lost studio version of Celebration of the Lizard turned out to be a demo and was used to sell another best of album. This was during Danny's tenure as Doors manager before the liar Jampol userped his position. It shows how far The Doors have fallen since Sugerman's idea for three releases every six months. I don't believe Danny ever intended to shaft Doors fans and I believe he tried his best for as long as he could to do right by Doors fans. His replacement is a shabby liar who talks out of his arce, thinks The Doors are a 'brand' and would sell the band down the river in a heart beat to make a buck.
