Rolling Stone - The Week In Weird Column Includes Ray Manzarek By: DAVID SPRAGUE Posted Dec 03, 2004 Having apparently given up on his attempts to actually dig up the corpse of Jim Morrison, one-time Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek has decided to simply insist that the ghost of his one-time bandmate will be joining him onstage whether or not anyone else is aware of it. The psilocybine-inclined ivory tinkler says that the Lizard King's spirit is set to hightail it out of his crypt to join in the festivities of at least one gig in Australia next February, since they worked so well together the last time Morrison visited from beyond the grave. Manzarek told Melbourne's Herald-Sun that "the last time we played Paris, oh my God, Jim was on stage with us. Jesus, you could feel him up there." We don't know about you, but hearing Morrison's name invoked along with the phrase "feel him up" strikes us as vaguely Batman and Robin-esque, if you get our drift . . . www.rollingstone.com/news/story/_/id/6656065/eminem?pageid=rs.ArtistArticles&pageregion=mainRegion

Yea.....that's Ray always trying to conjure up some kind publicity. Comparisons to of Jim to an impersonator or any number of wild stories as a means of enhancing his cash flow......It needs to be said....Yo, Ray.....your fucked up dude.....Jim's been dead for 34 years. Now would be a good time to stop with the bullshit and get a life of your own.
"Most people love you for who you pretend to be....To keep their love, you keep pretending - performing. You get to love your pretense....It's true, we're so locked in an image, an act - and the sad thing is, people get so used to their image - they grow attached to their masks. They love their chains. They forget all about who they really are. And if you try to remind them, they hate you for it - they feel like you're trying to steal their most precious possession." ~ Jim Morrison (1968)
