For some unfathomable reason I have been listening today rather a lot to an mp3 of Tree Trunk ........Sounding nothing remotely like anything the band ever recorded it sounds more like Mungo Jerry than The Doors ...........its as irritating as fuck and drives the listener insane on repeated listenings but it is also damn catchy and its hard not to hum it for days after being subjected to it. Bonkers but bloody fun.........
"you and me caught in the heart of a rainstorm getting all wet but I got me a brainstorm why don't we hide in the trunk of this tree for a while and were getting so close and so warm that you're making me smile well you're making me wish we could stay here for more than a while"
"That's the trouble with reality!.... it's taken far too seriously! I do hope God is good to me and Santa Claus to the children! Celebrate...this parties over...I'm going home!"

Utter insanity from The Doors but it's fun to listen to. One song that would never have been considered for a Morrison Doors record of any shape or size. No idea who wrote it but it sounds Kriegerish. Doubt anyone would want to claim it. If I had been them I would have claimed it was a forgotten song from Morrison's notebooks just for a laugh. If you have never heard it then here it is!
