Was Bruce the producer on Other Voices? I assume so, since you mention it, but just checking, you know what happens when you assume

Yep Bruce reprised his role as co-producer on Other Voices but I guess he blotted that out afterwards as there was more prestige in claiming to be the producer of LA Woman than Other Voices......if you read what Morrison had to say on the subject you will see that Botnick did not have as big a role as he probably claims and the album was pretty much produced by The Doors themselves and Botnick engineered and was given the co-producer credit more as a thank you for all his previous work...... from the link.... "A few years later in 1971 Botnick began the project that he has become most noted for, the Doors [+] L.A. Woman [+]. After longtime Doors [+] producer Paul Rothchild [+] walked away from the project in frustration, Botnick siezed the chance to turn the alcohol riddled band into a tight working unit again. Stripping away the strings that had hampered their last few efforts, Botnick helmed a stripped down rock masterpiece that remains the band's greatest effort aside from their debut." THAT IS TOTAL BOLLOCKS!

Yeah, it is but maybe some publicist wrote it, or even somebody who runs the site but took the info from a secondary source, or something.

Yea.. and say their "last few" efforts were hampered by strings and stuff lol. I only recall one album from 2 years before that might meet that criteria. One album doesnt constitute "a few"
And I dunno why everyone seems to say LA Woman and "The Doors" were their best works. Theres an assload of gold in between. I personally listen to strange days alot more then I do the first album.
And since when were the doors any less "alcohol riddled" lol It never "hampered" them before.

Must agree as i think Strange Days is the best album they ever made... Been a while since I visited until just now but Robby has updated HIS discography to include both Other Voices and Full Circle......so why the hell don't The Doors?

The treatment on the official site of the two albums is pathetic. Regardless of how good these albums are or aren't, they're still Doors albums and should be recognized

the debut and la woman certainly used to be my fave albums when i was younger. the debut will always be. but inbetween, each album for me has its beauty...i love them all especially strange days and morrison hotel. my least fave is the soft parade. but when i say it is my least fave, its still fuckin good! that article is def written by some dense twat who was given the task of writing something about the doors and probably got ideas from passing fans. as for alcohol ridden band...it was only one bloke who liked the booze to that extent..and it was throughout their career in the doors!
