My understanding is that Bakersfield isn't happening for awhile since Ray doesn't think the quality is good enough. I've heard Pittsburgh or Philly are the most likely next releases. Does anyone know anything more?

This jampol idiot has been bonding with the LLers so its probably on there. Philly is a decent gig so it would be nice but I wanna hear all of Pittsburgh..... The version of 'Someday Soon' from the gig is awesome....pisses all over that one from Seattle. A bunch of Pittsburgh tracks are on th AL Outtake boot along with The Spy from the late show in Boston.....thats the sort of stuff BMR need to put out not Felt Forum or Matrix......all that can come a bit later..... Bakersfield is a non-soundboard recording so its probably best that it falls down the pecking order for a while.... The sooner Rays grip on power is removed the better as his crew only think about $$$ not the history of this great band .....now he has had his ass kicked in court by John its time JD and the Morrison/Courson clan got the Doors into the hands of fans NOT accountants......Danny Sugerman was a big loss to us fans and that windbag Jampol is just Rays monkey and will dance to any tune Ray plays..... BMR needs to get out the concerts the fans want and sell them in a manner the fans can buy not through a bunch of imbiciles like Rhino over the Net.....its been done and failed miserably........get the discs in the shops and sell them at a fair price not try to screw every last cent out of us like the last phase of the label...... Will that happen? Now that the 50% of The Doors that stood up for integrity have the whip hand it just might!

You may well be right King G.....but it would be a shame if IOW was an early release as there is still no conclusive evidence that the whole gig was filmed....all we have seen is about 15 minutes of The End and when the Music's Over the BBC showed and a couple from Break On Through...also The Doors don't own the film so its unlikely to appear on BMR......if it was released it would be a mainstream release like the recent Jethro Tull one from IOW. Philly would be cool I doubt anyone would argue with that even though its another one easy to get hold of on the net! And that would pretty much fit in with new management thinking........total lack of any vision. If I ran BMR my first thought would be to release something that in thier 'once' words 'knocks the socks' of fans and gets them back into the fold after such a long time in the wilderness. I would find the most amazing gig we had in the archives and release that rather than put out stuff that has been heard from places like DCM. Detroit was an amazing BMR release....thats the sort of thing that should be the first release....... But as you say we will not get amazing or awesome merely interesting.......pity!

They're in negotiations right now, my understanding would be that the DVD would be released mainstream and the audio CD would go through BMA.
Not sure why you would complain when something finally gets released man, Philly is their best show they have (along wiht the Felt shows). If there was ever a show that would "amazing or awesome" it would be Philly. I would be happy just to see any A-L show released. What else do you think they have in the archives?

Pittsburgh is a standard, good show, nothing special. Someday Soon and the 25+ minute WTMO save it.
