This is a fund raiser for CAFF (Community Action for Fact and Freedom) established by members of the entertainment business following the Sunset Strip riots in 1966.
The Doors are the opening act lower on the bill than bands like The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and Peter Paul and Mary, as they are still without a hit to generate gravitas and move them onto the next level. Break On Through had come up short and their next single Light My Fire was not released until April.
