March 17th 1969The new owner is blasted from all sides to cancel The Doors appearance. He had spent a considerable amount promoting the concert and his reputation is at risk so the band sensibly release him from his contract on March 12th.Pittsburgh Civic Arena PA. March 22nd 1969This one takes over and fares no better.These 2 shows are hit by the initial fallout from Miami earlier that month. September 20th 1969According to On The Road this concert goes rather well apart from a couple of interruptions as the crowd mass around the stage. They open with Break on Through do an impressive WTMO and throw in The Soft parade for good measure. The crowd become more than raucus and the police form a barrier between them and the band during Light My Fire. After this the police halt the concert. But for once show some common sense asking the fans to return to their seats after order is restored the band re-emerge onto the stage and do an impressive Soul Kitchen. After the band leave the stage Bill Siddons thanks everyone, which probably included the cops, for coming and they will return soon. ## which they did 26-9-1969 The Tartan. college newspaper from Carnegie-Mellon U Pittsburgh PA 26-9-1969 Pittsburgh Post PA.
