I decided to ressurect this poll for Jim's 35th anniversary and include more names.....so....
Death being no barrier (as a manuscript could be hidden in a bank vault somewhere) which story would you most want to hear more from of the hayday of Jim and The Doors. Some have given interviews but not a definitive account of the time they interacted with The Doors.

I think Dorothy's perspective would be the most insightful all around from the begininning of The Doors, her supporting Jim & Ray while they lay around the house getting high & working up songs, could've led to a fast break of a relationship. All the way through the end of The Doors.
A good 2nd runner up would be Bruce Botnick, I think he would provide a lot of interesting tidbits on the recording sessions, although from his linear notes on BMR stuff he seems most interested in technical things of it.
A caveat I'd like to interject is, most of the people who associated with The Doors in their heyday seem to come to message boards & the such with some ego, they do try to push fans around with "I was there you weren't so how do you know" when people challenge them on facts and such. An example who knows how Dorothy really is, she's been with Ray over 40 years so how much of Ray's attitude she must agree with.

I went with Rhonda Lane as she had a rather unique and fscinating insight into The Doors suspended above them in a cage as they worked up thier songs. If she could articulate what she witnessed in 1966 what a tale she could tell us about the Genesis of the worlds greatest band...

Bruce Botnick for sure. I'd rather hear about the recording sessions more because thats about the music... which is what I care about... not how many shots of Tequilla Jim had before he passed out and had buttsex with with Danny Sugarman.
