Cool to know the photo and the poem I glued up inside the medicine chest in the bathroom in July 2001 is still there. I used an entire can of spray glue...
I was there once in December myself to celebrate my own birthday that I share also with Pam Courson. Los Angeles is so very bleak and dismal in December, a perfect place to drink alone and walk alone, cry alone.
and one morning he awoke in a green hotel.....

Thanks for sharing those photo's. I thought that picture looked familiar on the inside door of the medicine cabinet. Leave it to Mike. Dan

I'm glad the owners our so cool to let Door's fans write their tributes to Jim. I can't believe they haven't sold the place to some developer. The property has to be worth a lot of money. So I'm glad I got to stay there while I still could. Also, they charge you $5.00 as a key deposit. So basically they allow you to keep a memento for $5.00 knowing people would love to have a room key to room 32.

cool photos dude. never been there. which other sites did u see......? I saw Barney's Beanery. My wife and I had other things planned while we were down there so we didn't specifically go hunting for other Door landmarks. I did see a lot of other buildings that used to be clubs that the Door's played in though. I really just wanted to stay at the Alta Cienega hotel.

Barney's is ok. I like their Hemp Beer. I know it gets very crowded on Saturday afternoons when College Football is on.
