Heres a listing of the English/French Documentaries that were released in the early 90's:
Stille Tage In Paris - Jim Morrison 1993 Documentary (French/German Production WDR Germany) 40 minutes
This documentary is in English. Where people are interviewed that speak French the dialog is overdubbed in English.
The film starts out showing scenes of Pere Lachaise circa mid 1980s because the old headstone and bust are on the grave. There is clips from Feast Of Friends (same used in Doors commerically released videos) intertwined with the Paris film shots.
The next scene is a French Apartment (have no idea if this Jim and Pams apartment in Paris) you see an empty bathtub and then a 747 taking off on a runway and then back to the Apartment where it shows an unmade bed, a pair of cowboy boots, record player, Jims published books, pen and paper and a paper with Jims poetry in his handwriting on a desk.
Agnes Varda is interviewed (translated to English) she talks about Jim wanting to write and be James Douglas Morrison not Jim Morrison. He wanted to start a new idenity for himself in Paris. He carried around an Super 8 MM camera and at this point you see some old film shots taken with an 8MM camera of Paris (do not know if these shots are from Jims camera or someones shots taken during that time period.) The film goes on showing Paris scenery and the narrator talks about Jim wanting to change, only a few close friends knew that he went to Paris to change his identity and then it cuts back to Agnes Varda. Agnes said she met Jim through Alain Ronay and she took Jim to her husband Johnthan Demys film set where Jim walked around the set observing everything. He wandered around looking at people. Later Jim and Agnes and her husband ate dinner and talked about films. Jim displayed a real interest in film making. She said Jim was an excellent storyteller.
The film then shows the Wild Child “studio” shot as seen in a few Doors commercially released videos. The narrator talks about the myth of Jim Morrison and then film goes back to show Pere Lachaise in 1981 and The Doors, Ray, John and Robby visiting Jims grave. (This segment is probably from the video “A Tribute To Jim Morrison.”)
Then film switches to show Madame Colinette a woman who visits Pere Lachaise everyday and was there when Jim was buried. She said it was a small, plain ceremony with only a few people in attendance.
In the next scene you see the legs and cowboy boots of a male actor walking down some stone steps to the Sceine River. The film switches back to interviewing Agnes where she reads a bit of Jims poetry and tells of his desire to change as in the Changeling (from LA Woman) the films switches back to showing the nightlife of Paris and the cafes Jim would frequent when he lived there. A stop is made a the Rock and Roll Circus (now called the Whisky A Go Go) where the narrator explains how Jim was attracted to the underground drug scene of Paris and frequented the R&R Cirrus on several occasions.
Giles Yepriem is now interviewed and he tells of Jim getting really drunk at the R&R Circus and how Giles carried him to a friends house to sleep off the drunk. The next day at Giles friends house (Herve Muller) Jim gets up and starts drinking again and once again he passes out til the next day when they go to breakfast. Giles said he took the photos of Jim and Pam in front of their apartment building that day (which was May 1971). Jim said that his relationship with Pam wasn’t going to good and he seemed depressed. He didn’t want to live the rock star life anymore. The drug and alcohol abuse had wore him out and he was now very weak.
The accepted story of Pam and Jim going to the movies and then coming home and Jim taking a bath is narrated with Paris nightlife clips and the French Apt.
Agnes recalls Pam calling her house the morning of July 3 and her and Alain Ronay go to Jim and Pams apartment. Agnes called the fire department and when they arrived they tried to revive Jim but it was too late. She said The Doors office was notified of Jims death and she kept the news from getting in the Press until after Jim was buried. Ronay and Varda got Jim into Pere Lachaise to be buried.
Last Days Of Jim Morrison Documentary circa 1991/92 14 minutes long 100% English (French is over-dubbed in English)
Shows Los Angeles and the Whisky A Go Go intermixed with Doors commercially released video clips.
Howard Wolf is interviewed inside the Whisky (this persons title is US Tour Manager) where he talks about the Doors days in the Whisky.
Next interview is with Yvonne Fuka which is overdubbed in English and then Herve Muller which is also overdubbed. Herve tells about Jim going to R&R Circus, copping some heroin in the restrooms, snorting the heroin and being carried out of the club through the Alcaraz (next door night club) by a man and a woman and put in car. They take Jim back to his apartment and put him in the bathtub and he dies. (Herve said Jim was most likely alive when they took him from the R&R Circus)
The narrator tells the story of Jim going to see a Robert Mitchem movie and afterwards ending up in the R&R Circus.
Next interview is with Francois Jaffa (He is either a patron at the R&R Circus or an Employee of the club???) He talks about seeing Jim Morrison in R&R Circus on several occasions.
The film switches back to Herve Muller.
Le Mystere Morrison is a french documentary that was released in 1991. Copies of this film have been in circulation for about 12 years.
The documentary is is in two languages 80% English and 20% French. French subtitles cover the English speaking guests who are interviewed.
The film is 1 hour and 40 minutes long.
The documentary covers 1964/65 (UCLA time period) through Jim's time in Paris. There are interviews with fans visiting Pere Lachaise and coverage of Oliver Stone "Doors" movie including some shots of the making of the film. The film is inter-spliced with the clips from the common Doors videos that have been commerically released and some parts of the film "Feast Of Friends."
People interviewed on this documentary are: (in order of appearance)
Michelle Campbell (American photographer) Robbie Freeman (hung out with Jim in UCLA days) Didbt Diel (American Journalist/UCLA Classmate) Eve Babowitz (Self-Admitted Groupie) Ray Manzarek (who admits Jim didn't like to sing LMF) Robbie Krieger Mario (Owner of the Whisky A Go Go) Marc Zarmati ("Dr.Rock" French Journalist) Jac Holzman (President of Elektra Records) Etienne Rada-Gil (French Photographer) Richard Metlzer (Journalist for Creem Magazine) Claude Gassion (French Photographer) William Harvey (PR/AR person for Doors Concerts) Agnes Varda (Filmmaker - Friend of Jim's while in Paris) Rosalie Varda-Demy (Agnes Vardas daughter- knew Jim) Sam Beren (French Journalist) Paul Rothchild (Doors Producer) Diane Gardner (Jim's Public Relations Person) Oliver Stone Billy Idol Val Kilmer Frank Whaley Kyle MacLaughlin Meg Ryan Manuieal Gourary (French Journalist) Giles Yepremain (Knew Jim in while in Paris) Yvonne Fuko (Physiciatist) Camerson Watson (DJ at the R&R Circus) Col. Radisson (Fire Chief who went to Jims Apt July 3) Raymond Martin (French Physican)
Following Raymond Martins' interview (which is in French) Robby Krieger is interviewed and says maybe thats how it happened, Jim had some sort of childhood disease like Ramatic Fever and he knew he didn't have long to live anyway so he did everything he could while he was alive.)
Then Ray Manzarek says...What do I know? I wasn't in Paris. I was in L.A. I've heard lots of stories. There is a grave in Pere Lachaise and Jim is supposed to be in there.
Towards the last 20 minutes of this documetary the lanuage is primarily in French. I don't speak french but it is understood that the interviews cover Jims' death. Agnes Varda talks about when she saw Jims' body and the blood running from one nostil of his nose.
It's unfortunate that I'm unable to translate French or I would have a better scenerio of what was being said.
The interviews with the American people talk about UCLA, some of the drug trips Jim did, Jims' actions towards the press and certain journalists, Jims behavior at concerts, his poetry and the interviewees personal experiences when they were in Jims company.
I highly recommend this video for Doors fans and anyone who wants a better perpective of Jims time in Paris 1971.

Very interesting. Are any other similar experiences known about Jim giving signs? I mean, more serious reports.

I have heard different stories over the years about Jims' so called appearances after his death at different places but I don't take them seriously. This dead famous tv show didn't prove to me that Jim actually made a visit during the times they tried to contact him. There is no proof on the camera so its I guess its up to each person to decide for themselves what they do or don't believe.
