You know it just done slipped my mind Just done slipped my mind Just so hard to find It just done slipped my mind I left my body somewhere down the line It's just so easy to lose track of time It just done slipped my mind It just done slipped my mind
It wouldn't matter but it's time to meditate You know it just done slipped my mind My memories undefined They must haved spiked my wine Because it just done slipped my mind
My mind and body are still out of tune I hope they run into each other real soon It just done slipped my mind It just done slipped my mind I wouldn't mind but it's cold here on the moon It just done slipped my mind
You know it just done slipped my mind My memories undefined It just done slipped my mind you know they must have spiked my wine My mind and body are still out of tune I hope they run into each other real soon It just done slipped my mind It just done slipped my mind
I wouldn't mind but it's so cold here on the moon It just done slipped my mind It just done slipped my mind

If Strange Day could be considered The Doors Zenith then this dirge is without doubt their Nadir. It cannot even claim to be infuriatingly irritating like songs such as Tree trunk. Just bad. A lyric that if written on a toilet wall would be out of place. Krieger drones on endlessly for a three minutes that seem like an eternity. Even a modicum of pretty neat guitar and a half hearted backing from Ray and John cannot save this dross from the title of worst song ever associated with the Doors name. Full Circle had it's strong points. Not many but musically it was acceptable. Lyrically it was a mess and this song the mess among messes. Krieger had completely lost his touch with this song and even though he recovered for a few Butts Band tracks the Golden Boy who could chuck out great pop tunes that sounded cool even on a rock album was gone by 1972. A lazily written pile of tripe. Probably one to remember when reading Kriegers so called Doors memoir. The Doors - It Slipped My Mind

Krieger sounds hungover, as if he's just awoken from a musical high that's lasted for a good six years... Paul Rothchild warned The Doors for sliding towards making 'cocktail' music as early as "L.A. Woman" and we get a lot of that on "Full Circle"... not particularly a bad thing but this song is of a total different matter still; it could well be filed under 'comedy' rather than anything else, except... except for the great instrumental halfway: "alright now, slip it to me" and Krieger launches into a mighty fine guitar solo; it saves the song from being thrashed totally... I think "Treetrunk" is worse, again thanks to the fretwork solo here...

At least you can sing along to Tree trunk. This sounds like someone slipping into a coma. Of course nowadays a lot has slipped Kriegers mind as he just sits there and makes shit up in interviews and his book will likely be a total bunch of bullshit as his brain is fried and he will probably get Ray to write it for him. I bet Densmore is the villain
