This is interesting as this is from the time JD was suing RDM and RK for swiping The Doors name. Robby in his small interview at the bottom asserts that Jim would definitely have come back from Paris to rejoin The Doors. This is flavoured by the trial as they needed Jim on their side to win. In the end he was on neither side and the trial was won by virtue of evidence of their betrayal of Morrison when they did not trust him to go to Europe without forming a new Doors behind their backs. Jim proved his worth as a friend many times. He never once betrayed the band he was in or it's art. They on the other hand stuffed Morrison behind his back a few times and have sold the art out a few times and without JD's veto power would have done so a lot more. Kudos to JD for growing a pair and standing up for the dead guy. .

One of the things I find annoying about the way the modern mags look at Morrison is the need they seem to have to offer balance by getting someone to slag him off. NME did it for their 40 year dead issue in July and a few others do this. Name any artist and somebody famous will dislike them as well as plenty of fans. But we don't often, if at all, see this balance for other artists. But always Jim whether it's TV, 'When Hippies Ruled The World' is a good example or this and the NME. Something about Jim just makes these people feel they need to attack him when they comment on him and the band. nearly The late great Fred Smith said he hated those pussies (The Doors). I bet he never said that to his wife Patti Smith (same name no relation till they got married) as she loved the band and Morrison with a passion.
