Just started reading Light My Fire....so far, so good. It's certainly not boring, but taking it with a pinch of salt. Nice to have some insight into what it was like in their circle though.

Has any one ever read Patricia Kennealy's book "My Life with and without Jim"? I skipped through some of it well most of the part "without jim" But I thought it kind of makes the reader wonder about what Jim was getting into. Is it all Bull shit or what ?lol

Is it all Bull shit or what ?lol Like pretty much everything to do with that sad lady its a fantasy due to her overfixation with someone. The evidence is there for anyone to see.....apart from ONE photo from a news conference has anyone EVER seen a picture of Jim and Pat together? Her 'Fireheart Project' dissapeared after Danny Sugerman (another fantasist) discredited her supposed Jim poetry that would have been the backbone of the book....which was due out 50 years after Jim died for some bizarre reason...probably to ensure everyone who could have discredited it was dead..... Her site has gone and she has dissapeared into obscurity as she has been found out to be a complete liar ......its best NOT to take books like hers and some of the other so called squeezes of Jim Morrison that seriously...I am sure there are truths in some of them but also a lot of lies as well.....bit like Rays book but no where near as entertaining.......

i like riders ......wen i first read this book..i thought John was a bit of a whiner and he did tend to blame Jim for everything that went wrong for the Doors (hey hes probably right), but John's passion for the music in general really comes to light in this book .......John's a real passionate man ....not only for his love of The Doors and the decade of music which blew the world apart ....but privately his life has been a rollercoaster of emotions ........good read, and overall a great book . I especially loved the first chapter, his description of pere lachaise and feeling he got on first visit .....
