This was an instrumental that involved a Latin type beat with Ray Manzarek chanting 'Push Push Push' from time to time doing his best Carmen Miranda impression though likely without a bowl of fruit on his head. A piano driven piece with a decent drum backbeat from John. A bass guitar, probably from Doug Lubahn, can be heard but Krieger seems conspicuous by his absence until the end when he can be noticed in the background. Morrison may well have contributed a backing wail in here but it's hard to tell. A bit of a piss about for The Doors in the studio. Interesting but that's about all Push Push

I think Ray sings at 1:23: "Mi padre no me quiere" (My father doesn't want me) two or three times as you say an impression of Carmen Miranda or I would say Celia Cruz (The Queen of Cuban "Salsa"). This music is very similar to a traditional Cuban song titled "Guantanamera" (The Girl of Guantánamo). Los Locos del Ritmo or The Locos (their name in U.S.), a Mexican group, which performed at Whisky a go go in june-july 1966 made a rock adaptation of this song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DfB-fwToacThe Doors opened the performing. www.maph49.galeon.com/avandaro/locos4.htmlIn this article, they say that The Doors stole The Locos an amplifier and a sweater. After a band member defines the style of American music as weird, and he says it is an "abstract" style. I suppose he saw the Doors performing

That is indeed interesting. Ray and Jim have a record of swiping stuff. Ray's obviously continued long after The Doors. In the excellent special features of Ray's awful film Love Her Madly Ray takes us round the places on Venice Beach associated with The Doors early days and one of them is the house he and Dorothy lived in with Jim. He tells us that they did not have a lot of money so Jim would go shopping with a long coat on and while Ray acted as lookout would steal steaks for their dinner.
