Love me tender, love me sweet, never let me go. You have made my life complete, and I love you so.
Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfilled. For my darlin' I love you, and I always will.
Love me tender, love me long, take me to your heart. For it's there that I belong, and we'll never part.
love me tender love me true all my dreams fulfill for my darling I love you and I always will Love me tender, love me dear, tell me you are mine. I'll be yours through all the years, till the end of time love me tender love me true all my dreams fulfill for my darling I love you and I always will

Recorded during the February 1969 Rock Is Dead session a drunken Jim Morrison does a tribute to one of his favourite singers Elvis Presley. Elvis and Frank Sinatra were major influences to the early Jim Morrison the singer although Elvis may well have nicked Jim's leather trousers look.
Love Me Tender is adapted from the 1861 US Civil War song Aura Lee. The modern lyric was written by Ken Darby but was credited to Presley and Darby's wife Vera Matson due to a publishing agreement.
