The beginning of a clever little 15 minute blues medley the band played in Detroit in 1970 that was sung by Screamin' Ray Manczarek with Jim joining in on harmony and then lead vocals towards the end. Mean Mustard Blues is probably partially ad libbed by Ray on stage. Musically slightly interesting as it features John Sebastian on harp and guitar.
But essentially it shows how far the band had fallen in the previous two years from Acid Rock giants to a band reduced to playing blues standards as their singer was too burned out.
