Sorry if this question has been posed before in some guise or other. But just imagine you were stranded on a desert island forever with only 5 Doors tracks to listen to. Which 5 tracks would you choose? I realise that this is one of those questions that you could give a different answer to every day but for today i'll go with......
Strange Days The Crystal Ship L.A Woman Ship Of Fools Summers Almost Gone
Again i apologize if this has been done before!

It is very dificult to choose only five songs. My today favorites are:
When the music’s over (my first favorite song forever) Roadhouse blues The changeling People are strange Take it as it comes
And one song what it is not an original The Doors song, but I like very much: Who do you love? from Absolutely live album

Sorry if this question has been posed before in some guise or other. Again i apologize if this has been done before! No need to apologise....if threads become duplicated I will sort it out and move everything onto one thread. Like Cassandra says a very difficult one indeed. I am like her and have fave songs based on my mood or what time of year it is I don't think I could do without WTMO as I too think it is the song which epitomises exactly what The Doors were about. ROTS too is something I would not like to be without. I would not pick a Robby song for this kind of thing but surprisingly would choose a Ray song. Tightrope Ride has been one of my fave Doors songs since I bought Other Voices in 1971. End Of The Night is something I like a great deal and my last choice would be Summer's Almost Gone which is one of my fave Doors lyrics. When The Music’s Over End Of The Night Summer's Almost Gone Tightrope Ride Riders On The Storm

All good replies and yes it is difficult! About 5 minutes after i'd posted this thread i'd already changed my mind about 1 or 2 songs. It's certainly a case of you'd pick a different 5 songs each day according to your mood etc. Maybe i should have called this thread "My favourite 5 Doors tracks for today!" Good replies everybody and interesting that you all (except me) chose "When The Music's Over"!! Thank's all!!!

Wow... Thought this would be easy but ended up spending quite a bit of time on it.. 1. "Five To One" - Favorite song of all time. 2. "When The Music's Over" - Like a previous post said, this song just encapsulates in 11 minutes everything great about The Doors. 3. "Moonlight Drive" - Great poetry and imagery. Definitely like the feel that the slide guitar gives it, as well. 4. "The End" - Too epic and intense to leave off the list. 5. "Back Door Man" - Just barely beat out about 20 others...haha
