Another lavish booklet.
Some great performances no doubt but the PBS section had quality issues which I have no idea if they were resolved.

Musically superb and the CBC footage of the performance of The End is sublime. As always with Doors DVD the biggest problem is the packaging and extra features. You would have thought something this good deserved a lavish booklet to commemorate such fine video History. But of course you would be wrong. Eagle Vision chuck out cheap crappily packaged DVD by the truckload and they go together well with The Doors for high price low quality. All we get is a ONE sheet tracklist and a lavish catalogue of Eagle Vision product. Extra wise we get a bunch of very short interview material that looks as if it was recorded during a fag break. The Doors themselves never seem to have the passion for the product we fans have. The other problem here is the poor print of PBS which again shows how much these three involve themselves with quality. The old video footage of PBS far eclipses this print and it seems to epitomise Doors product as to involving, to quote Todd Snider's excellent song Easy Money. 'The most they can possibly get for the least they can possibly do.' Which is still a valid observation today.

"A musical madness without equal" what a description for such an amazing band!
