RK wrote Your'e Lost Little Girl Wintertime Love Yes The River Knows Love Her Madly Touch Me Runnin' Blues He gets co writing credit on a lot of Morrison Hotel and is credited in some quarters as co writer with JDM on 20th Century Fox Add to that all the songs he wrote on Other Voices and Full Circle and it shows Robby was a decent contributor to The Doors catalogue....

Well.. i thought the idea was that they all contributed equally. A band rarely works out if everyone doesn't. I'd say any song that has prominant keyboards had a fair bit of modification by Ray Manzarak.
How about "When The Music's Over"? Are you gonna tell me Jim Morrison wrote that keyboard part? And to me the song is nothing without it.
Or how about "Riders On The Storm" Ray wrote that bass part that drives the whole song.
Crystal Ship Soul Kitchen Break On Through Moonlight Drive You Make Me Real Ship Of Fools
All would be nothing like the song we know without Ray Manzaraks input. Does he get writing credit for all those though? Don't always go by what the credits say.
It's really kind of silly for any of the songs to have just Jim Morrison on the credits.. Except perhaps "My Wild Love" That one would make sense. But you know Morrison didnt write any piano or guitar parts. Sure he hummed the melody for some.. so he deserves some writing credit for those but not all of it.

Its a fair point but Rick was concentrating on the lyric side and John and Ray were never involved in that..... I think Jim recognised the contribution of his three bandmates as seen in his agreement to share his royalties 4 ways...which was a very mature and perceptive stance for someone so young....he could have made a vast amount of money if he kept the writing credit but he accepted the other three made important contributions to his words and as you say the 'song' would have been less without the input of John, Ray and Robby....

I'm not sure what his feelings on that were. The movie portrays him as hating it but I wouldnt go by that.
They did it in concert a number of times and he usually performed it well so I dont think he hated it.
