After reading Jd's ROTS, ihave learnt that this was the last gig performed live by the doors. its so sad that jim lost his flare an put nothing into the performance. its funny because he actually wanted to perform. is there a bootleg of this performance knocking around?

so what was different about new orleans, why were they allowed to play there and no where else...or was this after the banning period? they were also invited to playt woodstock towards the end but declined, i think a reason to do with jim. what a shame they didnt go.

They weren't banned everywhere from playing, as a matter of fact, the day before NO70 they played 2 shows in Dallas (the show with all the LA Woman songs) Also, they were suppose to tour Europe but NO70 was the killer that made them agree to stop touring momentarily.
They didn't play Woodstock because #1, they didn't think it would have been as big as it turned out to be and #2, They prefered indoor, intimate arenas instead of big outdoor fests.
