Last week read a book written by the family who promoted the 1969 & 1970 festivals.
One of the revelations being that Jim was in a foul mood and demanded the stage not be lit at all.
They managed to get him to agree to some dim stage lighting but unless you were right up to the stage you would not see a fucking thing.
Probably Morrison felt guilty of short changing the audience by giving a bored performance in which he bade farewell to the UK likely or not hoping they would forget about it.
Sadly the whole set was filmed and had now turned up on Blueray and watching you can see his point.
He came here in 1968 and exploded on the scene with 4 incredible performances at Camden Roundhouse.
And he left these shores not even with a whimper more like a low squeaky fart.
