The Doors always put out interesting & provoking advertising.

They were the first band to utilise a billboard with the debut LP and again with the last LA Woman.
The debut in the East and rising sun and LA Woman the West and setting sun.

On May 9th 1972 The Doors take time to promote their album 'Other Voices' as well as the recently released compilation album 'Weird Scenes Inside The Goldmine'.
In one of their most innovative promotional tools
they utilise an old red London bus and drive around promoting the album before they go into the OGWT studio to record several tracks for the later BBC broadcast.

Truly one of the dumbest ideas The Doors came up with since Ray tried to get Jim to wear a Japanese theatre mask at the Hollywood Bowl.
'You do what you want. Just give me a microphone.' his response.

The Full Circle LP came with a zeotrope that when assembled would make a shadow image of the Full Circle cover characters.
Thankfully when it got to England the idea had been consigned to the bin where it belonged.
Full Circle had enough problems without this desperate promotional bullshit.

Rather low key and not followed up in Disc magazine with further information.
