My book, “Freeway: The Strange Driven Life of Jim Morrison,” has been an adventure ever since its inception in 1996.
By 2002, I was working full time on it.
It has been that way ever since. Never did I imagine where the project would lead me—to becoming a voracious reader like Jim (as much as possible); to talking
with people who were physically close to him; to places where I envisioned—and perhaps felt—his presence; in sum, to my original research that has kept me intrigued for decades.
Now, I sense my work is nearing its end. Life is short, art is long. Ask Jim.
