Hi! In July 2003, I have been to all the places listed in the "Paris Guide for Jim Morrison Fans", just because it brought you to several different districts in Paris and it was kind of fun to walk through the whole city... The famous Alcazar where Jim is supposed to be brought home on July 3rd former "L'Astroquet" where Jim used to drink... "Café de Flore", one of Jim and Pam's favourite cafés<br> "Les Deux Magots", just around the corner of the Cafe de Flore The fire department that came to Rue Beautreillis 17 when Jim died Hotel "George V", the hotel that Jim and Leon occupied in 1970 and the same hotel Jim and Pam stayed in at the beginning of their Paris visit "Hotel de Medicis", where Jim also stayed in 1970 "Hotel de Nice", where Jim fell out of the window... "L'Hotel", where Oscar Wilde died in 1900 and where Jim stayed in 1971... "La Coupole", a restaurant where Jim used to drink and eat, also the favourite restaurant of Sartre and Ionesco "La Palette", a nice café/restaurant in Saint-Germain, Jim was there, too... former "Le Beautreillis", just opposite Jims flat Place des Vosges where Jim used to hang around and wrote poetry Place Tristan Bernard, Hervé Mullers flat, where the famous pictures of Jim and Pam had been taken Agnes Varda's flat, where she is supposed to live until today... former entrance of the "Rock n Roll Circus" The main entrance of Pere Lachaise cemetery

Well I guess there are even more places to visit when you look in the "Paris Tour for Jim Morrison fans"-book... I still have some others, probably I'll post them after the weekend...

Might just be a server problem....they were there half an hour ago and were fine except for the last one but now do not show up..... If the server is having problems it will rectify itself and they will appear again.....

We Europeans only travel a few hundred miles....it takes about 5 hours by train for me to get from home to Paris....an hour by plane.....hotels are numerous and suit every pocket.....

I usually pay around £40 per night, not sure what that is in $, wont be much though. i only takea 50 min flight from britain, which costs £130. then when in paris, the metro is easy to use and easy to get to the bastille area, where most people are staying as this isnt far from pere le chaise and the infamous la ren!

Thank God for Ryanair! Even a poor single mum like me can afford to travel around in Europe these days. A flight ticket RETURN Stockholm-Paris costs less than 60 euros, about $70 or less than £40. That is actually cheaper than a month pass on the subway here. Stockholm-Paris takes about a little more than 2 hours.

If you like me don´t mind living like a bum in absolute dumps, you can get away with hostels that costs 16-20 euros a night.
