It's true and if you and the Missouri Muppet... can organise an even better one for 2006 you may well become Doors legends yourselves....

Don’t reckon I have many ideas ‘cept what’s been put out there. I dig the various venue idea. The Seine one Kat mentioned is cool too. I’m kinda lost on that tho… is there a way we can find a spot that we’ll know will be free and actually give decent directions to? If we can find a nice outdoor venue with room for as many people that care to come, I’ll pay for a couple ads - place a couple hundred flyers around the city (tho yeah, tis kinda pointless, but it couldn’t hurt), and post on as many places that I can think of on the net… which others done last time. It’d be nice to have a “big” event and then another, somewhat more inclusive, Shakespeare one…. No idea on a 3rd venue unless the Lizard Lounge as B.C. mentioned?

i have reserved about an outdoor event to be honest. cos you can never garuntee the bloody weather..if it was spain, then yeh you could probably get away with it. but if its pissing it down with rain, then it wil get pretty miserable and not many people wuld wanna come. i think the shakespear was great...you dont really want two poetry events going on. shall we just try for the shakespear again, its was a really cool little venue, plus there are bars right next door!! ;D

Keep it fluid Rick....have the Shakey as a deffo core venue for the event and have a couple of alternatives such as outside in the alleyway next to La ren and such subject to the weather as additional outings for poetry reading.....if a tribute band gets off thier ass and finds a gig maybe we could be part of that..... i think Nicks original theme for this A TRIBUTE IN MOTION is inspired and that what it should be....lets give it a big push next year and get more people interested in reading and more to come along and listen......do it over two or three days and have it in several locations such as near reue Beautreillis (maybe that park) and near the cemetery......plenty time to organise it and if 'Hogan Harry' gets his arce over this time we can see what he's made of......if I can do it he bloody well can...

mmm yeh great food! well if you guys wanna try and go for a number of different locations over a few days, then i dont see why not....just not outdoors i was just thinking that it might be the same people going to each and they might not wanna go to a few poetry readings that are sort of going to be the same. but, if we can get different people going to the different locations, then that would be better..so better advertising needed in different areas then perhaps??
